ZM Interactive showcased full line of xFold™ drones with interchangeable rotor configurations and flight times up to 8 hours at IDEX

Abu Dhabi, UAE. 25 February 2021.     US-based company, ZM Interactive (ZMI) was at IDEX in Abu Dhabi showcasing its full line of xFold^TM drones – the strongest and most adaptable drones in the industry. xFold™ drones are the only industrial unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) that can switch between x4 (quad), x6 (hexa), X8 (octo) and X12 (dodeca) configurations in minutes. 

It’s simple to customize the xFold™ drone to fit any mission: Pilots can swap configurations in minutes, including adding robotic arms for delivery, extinguisher ball droppers for fire fighting, sprayers for agriculture, or sensors for 3D mapping. The military-grade commercial drones are designed, manufactured, built and assembled by ZMI in the USA, using proprietary components. The aircraft are weather resistant and made to fly in inclement conditions. 

The line of drones on display included:

• The xFold™ Dragon can lift up to 1000 pounds, and the Dragon Hybrid boasts a flight time of 1.5 hours on battery and over 8 hours with a hybrid system. Available in five sizes, payloads for the aircraft include 100 pounds, 300 pounds, 500 pounds and 1,000 pounds, guaranteeing there is an xFold™ drone suited for every flight operation and mission. 
• The xFold™ Cinema is designed to support professional cinematography cameras, LiDAR, or other sensors with proprietary anti-vibration technology. Flight time around 45 minutes, depending on payload. 
• The xFold™ Travel platform is designed for flexibility with a wide range of applications, from DSLR and FLIR cameras to various sensor and payload applications. Flight time around 40 minutes, depending on payload. 
• The xFold™ Spy features power and portability, designed for action sports cameras as well as small payloads like zoom / FLIR and other sensors for industrial applications. Flight time around 35 minutes, depending on payload.
