- India Aviation returns in its new Avatar
Hyderabad. 07 March 2018. Countdown to Wings India 2018 has begun. India plans to be a global aviation hub and one of the top 3 aviation markets worldwide on the next few years. By 2020, passenger traffic at Indian airports is expected to increase to 450 million from 159.3 million in 2012-2013. With UDAN taking off , the objective of which is to provide safe, secure, affordable and sustainable air travel with smooth access to various parts of India happens to be the most lucrative market for manufacturers and airlines, and Wings India promises to be a platform to attract all stake holders.
‘WINGS INDIA 2018’, the erstwhile India Aviation in its new avatar, will be inaugurated by Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, Minister for Civil Aviation, Government of India and K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana.
The event is scheduled from March 8 to 11, 2018 at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, India, with the theme ‘India – Global Aviation Hub’. Organised in pursuance to the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘giving flight to the aspirations of the common man’, the event is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, Airport Authority of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
This year, the special focus of the event would be on connecting the cities and towns to increase regional connectivity in the country. It would provide the most comprehensive platform in the region for interactions, forging alliances, investments and air connectivity between the States and the global aviation players and stakeholders.
The international exhibition, strategically located with access to billion dollars’ market in India and Asia Pacific would provide an excellent platform to forge partnerships, build business opportunities and exchange of technology. WINGS 2018 would witness representation from 10 countries, namely USA, Japan, U.K, Russia, Singapore, France, Germany, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Italy and Iran. The event will host 125 exhibitors from India and across the globe. Besides, 15 aircrafts by ATR, Honda, Trujet, Gulfstream, Boeing, Embraer, Dassault, Club one Air, Aeroteck, Zoom Air, Air India, NAL and others will be at the Static display area along with 12 Hospitality Chalets.
Besides the conference and exhibition, WINGS INDIA Awards Ceremony, Roundtables on Tourism, Cargo and Logistics and Skills, Chalets, CEOs’ Forum, Static Display, Media Conferences and G2B and one-to-one business meetings, are the other highlights of the event.
The biennial exhibition on civil aviation and aerospace is all set to surpass the landmark created by its earlier editions and will witness a much higher participation from international and Indian companies from sectors such as Aircraft Manufacturing, Aircraft Machinery & Equipment, Aircraft Interiors, Airlines, Airline Services & Air Cargo, Airports Infrastructure & Equipment, the Space Industry and the Skill Development & Aviation Training Institutes.
