Paris, 6th June 2018 . WesCom Defence, part of WesCom Signal and Rescue, the world-renowned specialist in pyrotechnic products for signalling, illumination, training and simulation, announces it will exhibit at Eurosatory for the first time under the WesCom name in Paris from 11 – 15 June 2018, from stand 747.
Held every two years, Eurosatory is the leading international land and air land Defence and Security exhibition in Europe. Run by COGES (Commissariat Général des Expositions et Salons du GICAT), the event brings together key players in the Defence and Security industry with high-level qualified visitors, such as decision-makers, contract givers and key influencers. Eurosatory presents the opportunity for technology to be showcased and ideas to be shared through various workshops.

On display on WesCom Defence’s stand this year will be a range of products from the current product range, which showcase the highest quality of specialist pyrotechnic products for the defence industry and latest developments in pyrotechnic technology. These include, the ManPAD Simulator, MERS Illumination Rocket and MECoStSimulator Impact/Thunderflash.
The ManPAD Simulator, replicates the launch and flight path of a ground-to-air missile. Upon ignition, it provides a blast, a flare and a white smoke trail that lasts about 10 seconds to create an exact indication of a missile’s flight path, allowing for the direction a threat comes from to be visible. In contrast, the MERS Illumination Rocket has a minimal signature at initiation, with no visible signature throughout flight. This smokeless rocket provides concealment from detection of the launch and is suited to carry various payloads which could be parachute suspended for large area illumination or free-falling flares for signalling purposes. Finally, the MECoSt Simulator Impact/Thunder flash creates a fragment and debris free simulation of a grenade impact and features an un-cocked striker mechanism.
