Ho Chi Minh City. 02 August 2023. Vietjet has operated the first non-stop flight connecting Seoul, South Korea with ancient city of Hue in Vietnam. This charter flight marks the first time that Korean tourists have been transported to the newly-launched terminal at Phu Bai International Airport in Thua Thien Hue Province.
The first flight between Seoul and Hue is a charter one, bringing international tourists to the ancient and poetic capital Hue and vice versa, Vietnamese tourists from Hue to South Korea. Passengers on the special flight were warmly welcomed by local leaders, airport officials, and friendly cabin crews. They were also presented with gifts that represent both Vietnamese and Korean cultures.
Seoul (Incheon) is the second international destination that Vietjet has added to the new terminal at Phu Bai airport, following its successful launch of flights from Kunming, China. These new connections are expected to drive tourism and trade, bringing more international visitors to the ancient and poetic city of Hue.
Located in central Vietnam, Hue, is a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists, thanks to its UNESCO cultural heritage and numerous festivals as the previous capital of Vietnam. The city is also a gateway to other nearby attractions such as Hoi An, My Son, Quang Nam, and Da Nang. With the launch of this special flight, Vietjet is working closely with tourism businesses and local authorities to create more attractive products and tours, in order to attract even more international visitors and boost the local economy.
Vietjet’s extensive flight network covers destinations throughout the region and around the world, making it easy for international tourists to visit Vietnam and experience its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. In the first six months of this year, Vietjet has already transported 3.5 million international passengers to Vietnam, contributing to drive the growth of tourism and the economy in the countries where the airline operates.
