Ho Chi Minh City. 23 November 2023. Vietjet has commenced the first-ever direct services connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Perth and Adelaide, further expanding its footprint in Australia. The debut flights make Vietjet the first Vietnamese carrier to fly to South Australia and Western Australia.
Deputy Premier of Western Australia Rita Saffioti, Minister of Tourism of South Australia Zoe Bettison and leaders of Perth Airport and Adelaide Airport all congratulated Vietjet on its new routes.
The exciting expansion of Vietjet into Adelaide and Perth respectively will more than double the Vietjet’s weekly flights to Australia to 58 a week since this December, making it the carrier with largest capacity flying between Vietnam and Australia. Less than a year after entering the Australian market in April 2023, Vietjet currently flies to five key Australian cities, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
Vietjet’s new routes with five round-trip flights per week will ever facilitate travels between leading urban areas in Australia the largest and the most dynamic city in Vietnam and further connections to other touristy destination within Vietnam and across Asia, including India, Southeast Asia, East Asia, etc.
