Ho Chi Minh City. 26 April 2021. Vietjet and HD Insurance offer a complimentary insurance named “Fly Safe” for all passengers flying on the airline’s Vietnam domestic flights from April 23, 2021.
Accordingly, each passenger is entitled to a 24-hour accident insurance valid from the flight actual departure time, covering of up to VND20 million (USD872) including medical expenses for medical treatment caused by the accident. In addition, Vietjet’s flyers are eligible to claim an insurance benefit to support living expenses and loss of income due to mandatory quarantine by the pandemic with the rate of VND1 million (USD44) per day of quarantine, applied to passengers whose traveling history linked to Vietjet flights according to regulations of the authorities. With the insurance premiums of up to tens of billion Vietnam dong, Vietjet, the airline certified with the seven-stars rating for Covid-19 compliance, wants to bring the peace of mind to customers.
For “Fly Safe” insurance eligibility, passengers need to provide all information in accordance with Vietjet’s “Terms and conditions” when purchasing tickets; and comply with all regulations on disease prevention and control of IATA, WHO, the Ministry of Health, authorities and Vietjet.
