(Da Nang, October 23, 2024) – Vietjet has inaugurated its direct service connecting Da Nang, Vietnam’s most livable city, to the vibrant city of Ahmedabad in India. This new route reinforces Vietjet’s position as the airline with the largest number of connections between the two countries, further enhancing its extensive flight network.

The inaugural flight, taking off from Da Nang International Airport on October 23, was met with enthusiasm as travelers embraced the seamless connection between the two dynamic cities. With two round-trip flights per week, the Da Nang-Ahmedabad route is expected to strengthen Vietnam-India ties and facilitate increased economic, tourism, and cultural exchanges across the Asia-Pacific region.

Vietjet has been a pioneer in offering direct routes between Vietnam and India since 2019. The new route totals the airline’s flight network of 8 routes and 60 weekly flights between the two countries, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang with New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Ahmedabad.

Da Nang, celebrated for its beautiful beaches and scenic spots, is Vietnam’s most livable city and a gateway to Central Vietnam’s cultural treasures, including the ancient town of Hoi An, the archaeological site of My Son, and the historic capital of Hue. Ahmedabad, a major city in the Indian state of Gujarat, is known for its rich cultural heritage, iconic landmarks, and vibrant culinary scene.

The newly-launched Da Nang-Ahmedabad route is among numerous new services that Vietjet plans to roll out in the final months of 2024. The airline will also introduce routes connecting Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur, and Nha Trang to Daegu, while resuming the Ho Chi Minh City-Tainan route. Additionally, Vietjet will significantly increase flight frequencies across Asia and beyond.

As part of its expansion strategy, Vietjet has recently welcomed a new aircraft to join its fleet and anticipates further deliveries by year-end. Coupled with the airline’s professional and dedicated crews, these additions are expected to meet the growing demand for travel, ensuring passengers enjoy exceptional flying experiences on their journeys.
