(Ho Chi Minh City, April 28, 2025) – Vietjet has received a brand-new Airbus A321neo ACF aircraft, registration number VN-A516, further strengthening its modern fleet as part of the airline’s strategic expansion for 2025. The aircraft landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on April 25, 2025, following its delivery flight from Hamburg, Germany.

Set to be deployed during Vietnam’s second-largest national holiday period this week—marking the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day combined with Labor Day—the new addition boosts Vietjet’s capacity to meet the surge in travel demand. Featuring a modern cabin layout, the A321neo ACF meets high standards for seat dimensions and spacing, ensuring an excellent in-flight experience. The model also delivers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, along with a 50% decrease in noise pollution compared to previous-generation.

This is the third new aircraft Vietjet has added to its fleet since the start of 2025. The airline plans to continue receiving new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing throughout the year, reinforcing its commitment to operating one of the most dynamic and efficient fleets in the region.

As part of its broader growth strategy, Vietjet recently launched four new international services connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Beijing and Guangzhou in China, as well as two new routes linking Ho Chi Minh City with Nagoya and Fukuoka in Japan. These additions mark a significant milestone in Vietjet’s 2025 expansion plan, which also includes new services to India and the upcoming launch of the Phu Quoc–Singapore route.

Through continuous fleet modernization and international flight network growth, Vietjet is enhancing travel convenience while promoting cultural and economic exchange across the Asia-Pacific region. The airline continues to affirm its position as a leading new-age carrier, connecting Vietnam with key global destinations.
