REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. 10 September 2019. Trideum Corporation was awarded Low-Cost Subscale Aerial Target (LSAT) Systems and Services contract on July 26. The LSAT effort is a Delivery Order contract under Trideum’s Aerial Target Systems 2 (ATS 2) Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract.
“We’ve worked with the Army’s Target Management Office (TMO) since 2008, and are so pleased to continue serving the TMO and expand our relationship under this contract,” said Van Sullivan, Trideum Corporation president.
Trideum is partnered with QinetiQ’s Target Systems business to provide as the primary target, the Banshee Jet 80+ for operation on U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) ranges, including the Orogrande and McGregor ranges in New Mexico. The agreement also comprises a suite of aerial target payload enhancements, ranging from Miss Distance Indication to supersonic drop target payloads. The Trideum / QinetiQ team will deliver engineering, technical, training, and flight services for all aspects of the Banshee Jet 80+, including integration to the US’ Army Ground Aerial Target Control System (AGATCS).
Peter Longstaff, Managing Director of QinetiQ Target Systems said, “We are proud to be delivering our Banshee aerial targets to the U.S. Army’s Target Management Office to replicate modern air threats for live fire exercises. This partnership with Trideum builds on the success of the integration of other QinetiQ targets into the US Army AGATCS, and further affirms that our strategy to deliver high performance targets at disruptive market prices is working.”
“Trideum leads a collaborative team providing rapid, efficient, effective, and quality knowledge-based unmanned aerial target systems flight testing, training services and equipment for the U.S. Army,” Sullivan explained.
