Subodh Kumar Jaiswal

New Delhi . 11 January 2011. Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, IPS assumed the charge of the 28th Director General, Central Industrial Security Force. Prior to his appointment as DG, CISF, he was serving as Director General of Police, Maharashtra State, Mumbai since 28th Feb 2019.

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He joined Indian Police Service in the year 1985 at the age of 23 and was allotted Maharashtra cadre. During his distinguished career spanning 35 years, he has held many important and sensitive positions in the state of Maharashtra and on Central Deputation to Government of India. In Maharashtra, he served as Asstt. Superintendent of Police & Addl. Superintendent in Aurangabad district and as Superintendent of Police in Aurangabad, Osmanabad and the most sensitive naxal infested district Gadchiroli. He has also served as Dy. Inspector General of SIT, Maharashtra and State Reserve Police Force. He also headed the Anti Terrorism Squad of Mumbai Police as Addl. Commissioner of Police/DIG. Later, he served as IGP, Amravati range and as Commissioner of Police, Brihan Mumbai.

On his earlier stint on central deputation, Jaiswal has served as Asstt. Inspector General and Dy. Inspector General in the Special Protection Group (SPG). He has also served as Joint Secretary and Addl. Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has been decorated with the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in the year 2001, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2009, Asadharan Suraksha Seva Praman Patra (ASSPP) in 2020, Internal Security Medal, Govt. of India and Special Service Medal, Govt. of Maharashtra.

On his arrival at CISF HQrs, Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, IPS, DG, CISF was received by Sudhir Kumar Saxena, SDG (HQ) and other senior officers of CISF and a Ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to him.
