• More engines will be supported under the new contract

Singapore, 21 February 2024 .  ST Engineering  announced that its Commercial Aerospace business has signed a new five-year agreement for CFM56-7B engine maintenance with PT Lion Group, the largest airline in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

This agreement is an extension of an existing exclusive contract signed between ST Engineering and PT Lion Group in May 2020. Under the new agreement, ST Engineering will provide the full suite of engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to additional CFM56-7B engines which power Lion Air, Batik Air, Batik Air Malaysia and Thai Lion Air’s fleets of Boeing 737-Next Generation aircraft. In addition to these MRO services, engine wash services will be provided using ST Engineering’s unique EcoPower® wash system.

PT Lion Group is based in three countries in Southeast Asia and operates a few airlines. As of November 2023, its airlines serve a total of 60 destinations comprising 39 domestic and 19 international.

ST Engineering will showcase its MRO solutions at the Singapore Airshow, 20 – 25 February 2024, at the ST Engineering Pavilion (G01).
