Sanjeev K, SITA’s APAC Vice President, spearheaded discussions on Digital Travel innovation, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize the passenger experience and bolster India’s ambition of becoming a global aviation hub. His presentation addressed pressing market drivers, including the growing traveller numbers and increasing demand for air travel in India, which has emerged as the world’s 3rd-largest civil aviation market. With the government’s plans to transform six major metropolitan cities into international air travel hubs and introduce 1,325 new aircraft over the next five years, the Indian aviation landscape is poised for monumental growth.
Sanjeev highlighted the importance of addressing the needs of increasingly digital-savvy travelers while enhancing overall passenger experience. He articulated a vision for ‘Airports of the Future,’ showcasing how SITA aims to elevate traveller experiences by eliminating the frustration of lengthy queues and complex authorizations at Indian Airports.
The summit also featured dynamic demonstrations of SITA’s cutting-edge solutions, including the Airport Operations Total Optimizer, Digital Travel Credentials, and biometric technology—all designed to streamline and enhance the travel process.
