Mumbai. 05 February 2024. Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area proudly showcased the might and pride of Indian Army for the citizens of Nagpur from 02 to 04 Feb 2024. The event flagged off at a opening ceremony by Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff.
The exhibition provided an unique opportunity for the citizen of the Nagpur region to witness the cutting edge capabilities and prowess of Indian Army and its soldiers. State of the art armoured vehicles like T-90s tanks, BMP-II, Advanced Artillery Guns like K9 VAJRA, PINAKA missile launchers, DHANUSH Artillery Guns were on display. The ultra modern Infantry Soldier and Special Forces Soldier displayed their latest weapons with advanced technology.
The dynamic display event showcased Flypast by Advanced Light Helicopters, Indian Army Daredevils (Motorcycle display), Martial Display and Musical Event by the Army Symphony band. Display by Skydiving team, Para motors and silent warrior (Army Dog Show) also enthralled spectators.
The event attracted diverse audience including school children, NCC cadets, patriotic citizens of Nagpur, military personnel and civil administration officials. The interactive nature of both the Dynamic and Static Display allowed all the attendees to engage with the Army, fostering better understanding of the Indian Army’s Commitment to safeguarding our borders and nation building.
Maj Gen Sanjay Kumar Vidyarthi has expressed gratitude for the support from Nagpur citizens and especially the media community and emphasised the Army’s dedication to staying at the forefront in service of the Nation and its citizens in it continuing endeavour for the Indian Army to acquit itself as the Pride of the Nation.
