Moscow . 10 August 202. A meeting of the organizing committee of the International Military-Technical Forum Army–2022 was held at the National Centre for State Defence Control of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Deputy head of the Military Department, General of the Army Pavel Popov.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Defence reminded those present that the Army–2022 IMTF will be held from August 15 to 21 in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The Forum clearly confirms the high efficiency of the implementation of the state policy on equipping the army and navy with modern weapons, military and special equipment, as well as the high level of development of international military and military-technical cooperation.
The events of the next forum will be held on the basis of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, Patriot Park, Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield, as well as in all military districts and the Northern Fleet.
Simultaneously with the forum and the Army International Games, for the first time, the X Moscow Conference on International Security is being held at the main exhibition site of the Ministry of Defence, the opening of which will take place on August 14.
The organizing committee of the forum was formed, which included heads and representatives of state authorities, state corporations, leading industrial enterprises and organizations.
Taking into account the experience of past years, the deputy head of the military department proposed the following procedure for the work of the forum:
– August 15 – the joint official opening of the Army-2022 IMTF and the Army International Games at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, the work of top officials of the state, heads of state authorities, industrial enterprises and foreign delegations;
– from August 16 to August 18 – days of the forum for specialists and events of the scientific and business program;
— from August 19 to 21 – days of mass visits.
Preparations for the forum are organized in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation and the approved plan.
According to General of the Army Pavel Popov, more than 2.5 thousand enterprises and organizations have already been invited to participate in the forum.
Further, the deputy head of the military department told the participants of the meeting about what will be presented at the Army–2022 IMTF.
The static exposition will be formed in the pavilions and open areas of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield with a total area of over 340 thousand square meters.
By the beginning of the forum, it is planned to put into operation a new modern convention and exhibition pavilion with a total area of more than 6 thousand square meters.
Distinctive features of the forum will be:
– exposition of promising samples of weapons, military and special equipment;
– expositions of industrial enterprises and development organizations in the areas of radio-electronic and information technologies, artificial intelligence technologies;
– exhibition “Innovative development in the field of defence”;
– expanded exhibition cluster of export-oriented samples of weapons and equipment, formed by the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and Rosoboronexport Joint Stock Company;
– thematic exhibition “Military education”;
– expanded exposition of the Navy.
The main part of the expositions of the aviation cluster of the forum will be located in the Kubinka aerodrome aviation equipment display area with an area of about 100 thousand square meters.
The demonstration base will host a closed display of promising aviation samples of weapons, military equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles of airfield-based.
The dynamic display provides for the presentation of the capabilities of promising models of aviation equipment, as well as the performance of aviation aerobatic teams and test pilots of aviation industry enterprises.
Invitations for the participation of foreign aerobatic groups have been sent to China, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea.
According to the expanded program, the annual competition for the management of unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic complexes “Dronbiathlon” will be held.
On the basis of a multifunctional fire center, the capabilities of small arms will be demonstrated.
The scientific and business program is formed on the most pressing issues of the development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the military-industrial complex of Russia, international military and military-technical cooperation.
A special feature of the forum will be the holding of online broadcasts of individual events on open topics of the scientific and business program on the Internet.
Official delegations and industrial enterprises of 129 foreign countries are invited to participate in the forum.
Work is being carried out on the formation of national expositions and exhibition stands of foreign enterprises.
To date, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan have already expressed their intention to form national expositions.
Information about the forum’s events is planned during briefings for the military and diplomatic corps of foreign states in March and July 2022, as well as during international events with the participation of officials of the Ministry of Defence. 26 bilateral meetings have already been held with military attaches of foreign states.
It is planned to strengthen sanitary and epidemiological surveillance measures at all the facilities involved, taking into account the experience of past forums and other international exhibitions.
The forum provides for rapid testing for a new coronavirus infection.
