Moscow. 20 August 2022. Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin held talks with Minister of Defence of the Republic of Sudan, Lieutenant General Yassin Ibrahim. The sides discussed strengthening security in Africa.
At the meeting, Russian Deputy Defence Minister said that Russia is committed to further cooperation with Sudan in strengthening security in Africa.
During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the development of Russian-Sudanese military and military-technical cooperation.
Lieutenant General Yassin Ibrahim confirmed the commitment of the top leadership of the Republic of Sudan to developing military cooperation with the Russian Federation.
“We appreciate the role of the Russian Federation in preserving peace and security in the world,” he said.
