Moscow. 16 August 2016. Colonel General Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, discussed topical international security issues with Abdullah Raziq Abd Qadir, Brunei’s Deputy Minister of Defence, on the sidelines of the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the State of Brunei Darussalam for your continued participation in our major international events. We always appreciate and cherish the opportunity to discuss with you our bilateral interaction in various fields. We are interested in developing bilateral cooperation in the military and military-technical sphere, on fighting transnational crime and other areas of regional and global security,” Colonel General Alexander Fomin said.
In turn, his Bruneian counterpart thanked the Russian side for their warm welcome and congratulated them on the successful start of the conference.
Deputy heads of defence ministries discussed ways of strengthening Russian-Bruneian defence cooperation, as well as current issues on the bilateral agenda. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
