“The Dzhigit support launcher and the Gibka-S man-portable air defense system are the only weapons in the world capable of launching two MANPADS missiles in a salvo with a 99 percent probability of hitting the target,” says the company.
Dzhigit is capable of firing two Igla or Verba MANPADS missiles using the “shot-forget” principle in one salvo or one at a time in automatic or manual mode. The support launcher provides 360 degrees azimuth and -15 to +60 degrees elevation guidance.
The support launcher significantly reduces the physical strain on the anti-aircraft gunner, who no longer has to carry the system on his shoulder. In addition, Dzhigit has a protective awning that reduces the heat from the sunlight during the day and facilitates the work of the operator.
The support launcher can be used in standby mode. Dzhigit can also be mounted in the back of a car, disassembled into three parts to be manually carried by military personnel. The deployment time to a combat position is three minutes. The recharge time is two minutes. With night vision and other additional equipment, Dzhigit can operate at any time of day, use external target designation and recognize targets according to the “friend or foe” principle.
