Langkawi. JSC Rosoboronexport—part of Rostec State Corporation—will showcase over 270 samples of weapons and military equipment at the 2017 Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), which is to take place on March 21-25 in Malaysia.
Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Deputy Director Mikhail Petukhov has been appointed Head of the Russian delegation; and Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy Department of the State Corporation Rostec Viktor Kladov will be heading the joint delegation from Rostec and Rosoboronexport.
Rosoboronexport is in charge of the united Russian stand at LIMA’17 showcasing over 500 products from 20 enterprises of the defence industry complex of the Russian Federation.
Out of all Rostec products, foreign specialists and experts will most likely be interested in Ka-52 combat scouts and MI-17 military transport helicopters.
Rosoboronexport specialists have lined up an ambitious business programme for LIMA’17. They intend to conduct meetings with representatives of the armed forces of Malaysia and other APAC countries, and many state institutions and businesses.
The Russian Knights aerobatic team will give a special show that will become the highlight of the exhibition. For the first time outside Russia they will present a new programme comprising solo and group flying elements using the new Su-30CM super-manoeuverable fighters. The Russian aerobic team is always a roaring success, no matter what country they perform in. The Russian Knights will give a press conference in the Hall “A” at 1 p. m. (local time), March 22.
