Bonn, Germany. 16 May 2023. As a systems partner and integrator for enhanced situational awareness and network monitoring, Rohde & Schwarz is presenting its latest and innovative portfolios of cutting-edge electronic warfare (EW) solutions for spectrum dominance and mission success.
Rohde & Schwarz supports missions with scalable intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems that can be integrated in various platforms. The company, alongside Schönhofer Sales and Engineering (SSE), a Rohde & Schwarz company, is showcasing its next generation EW system solutions at this year’s AOC Europe at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany from May 15 to 17, 2023.
Showcased are communications and electronic intelligence (COMINT and ELINT) systems for tactical and strategic missions, the new Rohde & Schwarz naval electronic support solution, state of the art instruments and systems for test and measurement of signals intelligence (SIGINT)/EW equipment. SSE`s TARAN Suite® redefines the decision-making process with unrivalled efficiency in SIGINT and superior target analysis.
One core system component is the new R&S®UMS400 lightweight universal monitoring system. R&S®UMS400 is crucial for gathering actionable intelligence, creating situational awareness and participating in larger ISR multi sensor missions. It is also used for operations focusing on force protection and small-scale emitter hunting. It will be showcased with the R&S®ADD307 collapsible VHF/UHF direction finder antenna, on a tripod.
Today’s EW platforms are designed as standalone systems. Future electronic support measures (ES) and electronic countermeasure (ECM) concepts are based on multi-platform approaches that include both manned and unmanned aerial, naval and ground platforms. This system-of-systems approach extensively increases overall performance and flexibility, however communication is crucial, providing overall connectivity between all of the platforms, high data throughput for sensor data and low latency for C2 and alarm messages. Here, Rohde & Schwarz is presenting examples for multi-platform electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) and a modern approach to the data link needed for communications.
Existing customers have defined SSE’s TARAN Suite® as the tool of choice whenever massive amounts of data requires powerful and reliable analysis for optimal decision-making and increased efficiency in supervision, examination and investigation in any subject domain.
