Le Bourget. June 19, 2017. Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has signed a contract with Philippine Airlines for the exercise of its rights purchases of seven Q400. This last conversion purchasing rights holder to twelve the number of Q400 aircraft on firm order for Philippe Airlines. The initial firm order for five Q400 aircraft with purchase rights for seven was announced December 8, 2016.
At list price of the Q400 aircraft, the value of this firm order is approximately 235 million US dollars. “The Q400 has enabled airlines worldwide to expand their networks and seize new business opportunities,” said Fred Cromer Pesident, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “We are pleased that Philippine Airlines is expanding its aircraft fleet by adding other Q400 aircraft and we believe that it can enjoy the savings and outstanding performance offered by this aircraft. ”

Bautista, President and COO of Philippine Airlines. “We are excited about the future opportunities offered to us and we look forward to expand our capacity and extend our service in the area, with comfortable regional aircraft, fast and efficient, as the turboprop 86-seat Bombardier. ”
The national carrier of the Philippines should receive the first two classes and Q400 with 86 seats in July, 2017.
With this latest order, the firm orders for the Bombardier Q400 aircraft now reached 585 units.
