- Parker’s new brake and wheel system gives operators options for aircraft entering final assembly in 2026
AKRON, OH, October 22, 2024 – Parker Aerospace, a business segment of Parker Hannifin Corporation that includes Parker Meggitt, has announced the development of a new wheel and brake technology designed for use on the Airbus A321neo. This innovative solution, employing the NuCarb® carbon brake and wheel, aligns with Parker’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for the future of the aviation industry.
This next generation technology will be certified up to the highest A321neo MTOW and will provide a reliable, safe and cost-efficient wheel and brake option to operators. Manufactured in Danville, Kentucky, this new technology is produced in one of the world’s most modern carbon manufacturing facilities. This equipment will also be available for in-service retrofit.
