Mandalay, Myanmar. 01 April 2025 . As part of Indian Army’s ongoing humanitarian assistance under Operation Brahma, the Field Hospital, comprising of 118 personnel, has been successfully established in Mandalay, Myanmar. The hospital was deployed using two Indian Air Force C-17 heavy-lift aircraft and is now fully operational with a 200-bed capacity, offering surgical and in-patient care.

This morning, Myo Aung, the Chief Minister of Mandalay visited the facility and reviewed its capabilities. The Field Hospital is fully prepared and equipped to provide critical medical care to those in need, reinforcing India’s steadfast commitment to humanitarian relief efforts in the region.

Under Operation Brahma, the Indian Army’s Field Hospital in Mandalay has been actively providing medical assistance, having treated 104 casualties so far. Surgeons at the facility have also successfully performed two life-saving surgeries.

Today, Lt Gen Myo Moe Aung, overall in charge of relief operations in Mandalay Division, paid an impromptu visit to the hospital. He commended the highly functional medical setup and appreciated India’s extraordinary efforts in supporting Myanmar during this tragic crisis. India Army remains steadfast in its commitment to humanitarian aid and regional cooperation.
