The National Academy for Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, successfully hosted a one-day Industry Employability Training Program on 19 Dec 24, tailored for 3rd and 4th-year engineering students from leading colleges in Nagpur. The event, aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, witnessed active participation from nearly 100 students from Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, and G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering & Management.

The program focused on enhancing employability skills and preparing students for the challenges of a competitive job market, particularly in the Defence industry. Eminent experts from NADP shared valuable insights during comprehensive sessions. Dr. A.S. Khan, OITC, led a session on the “Defence Manufacturing Sector in India – The Next Sunrise Industry & Future of Warfare and Ammunition Technology.” Shri Minhaz Ahmad, DGM, spoke on the “Role of NADP in Defence Capability Building,” while Shri Mohan Agrawal, DGM, addressed various management systems such as QMS, EMS, and OHSMS. Other sessions included topics on defence products and industry expectations from freshers, led by experts such as Shri N. Raghuraman,INAS(Retd.) Consultant, Dr. Surendra Gole, Prof. (Operation) and Dr. Indu Mazumdar,TPP/NADP
