Maintenance Command Commanders’ Conference was held at Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur, on 23 and 24 April 2025. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, presided over the conference on 24 April 2025 through hybrid mode. He was welcomed by Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command.
Centred on the theme ‘Enhancement of Maintenance Capability and Capacity to Maximise Operational Potential of the Indian Air Force’, the conference focused on bolstering self-reliance, indigenisation and long-term sustainment of critical assets.
The CAS was apprised of Maintenance Command’s initiatives, aimed at reducing dependency on foreign OEMs, enhancing system reliability, life extension studies and innovations. He commended the personnel of Maintenance Command for their significant contribution towards operational readiness of the IAF and alignment with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Emphasising on inclusive growth and transformational reforms, the CAS encouraged commanders of units under Maintenance Command to proactively reduce dependence on foreign OEMs and enhance indigenous capability to maximise operational potential of the IAF.
During the proceedings, trophies were presented by the AOC-in-C Maintenance Command to units adjudged best in their respective domains of excellence.
