Greenwich,London. 19 August 2019.LifeSaver, which made its name at DSEI 2007 with what was then a revolutionary and literally life-saving water purification bottle, will return to ExCeL – and the defence sector – after an absence of some years.
LifeSaver’s ultrafiltration products effectively remove 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of microbial cysts and 99.99% of viruses from water supplies, with no need for chemicals or electricity.
Wesley Clarke-Sullivan of LifeSaver said: “In 2007 LifeSaver was a relatively new business, and we chose to exhibit at DSEI to develop a position in the defence market. During those few days, DSEI propelled LifeSaver into the sector, enabling us to quickly win significant new business with the British military. As LifeSaver seeks to continue its growth in defence, with new and enhanced variants of the water bottle, we have selected DSEI as the platform to support this”.
Visitors to DSEI can see live demonstrations of LifeSaver’s products, which range from individual-sized drinking bottles to their LifeSaver Jerrycan water purifiers which recently passed compliance testing for NSF Protocol P248 Military Operations – Microbiological Water Purifiers by the US Army Public Health Center (MEDCOM).
LifeSaver will also display their new LifeSaver C1 large scale, in-line purifier, which is capable of producing up to 500,000 litres of safe drinking water at the turn of a tap, and is making its defence and security exhibition debut at DSEI 2019. The C1 offers mass water purification for larger communities as simply and effectively as LifeSaver’s smaller personal-sized products. The C1 unit was developed to overcome technical challenges associated with the transportation of LifeSaver’s larger C2 units. Joe Lovegrove, Technical and Operations Director at LifeSaver, said:
“Now we can provide these communities with long term solutions for safe drinking water without as much logistical burden and at a lower cost. Being able to easily load a C1 onto a canoe to reach a remote village, for example, is going to be a game changer when it comes to humanitarian aid and disaster response. We’re delighted to showcase this ground-breaking piece of kit at DSEI 2019, and look forward to demonstrating its phenomenal defence and humanitarian potential to international distributors.”
