New Delhi. 26 September 2020. CISF took over the security of Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP), Pipalkoti, Uttarakhand with the total sanctioned strength of 51 personnel.
This unit is headed by an Inspector rank officer. With this induction, total units under CISF security cover has risen to 350.
The Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project, Pipalkoti, Uttarakhand is a part of Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd. VPHEP is a Run-of-the-river Project with installed capacity of 444 MV over River Alaknanda in the Distt. Chamoli of Uttarakhand at a distance of 225 kilometres from Rishikesh.
