Madrid, February 18, 2025. – Indra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Katim, a  company in the Edge defence group specializing in cybersecurity, with a view to working together on certifying  and marketing advanced ultra-secure mobile telephony solutions to protect the communications of government  agencies and allied countries.  

The signing took place on Monday in the framework of Idex, one of the most important fairs in the field of  defense worldwide, held in Abu Dhabi from February 17 to 21. Indra is holding meetings at this forum with  companies and authorities from different countries and showing cutting-edge solutions that reinforce its role  as a technology partner of the countries in the region, with which it has been working in recent years in various  critical projects. Indra stands out as a leading company in air defense, electronic defense, command and  control systems, anti-drone and border protection systems, simulation and constellation management  platforms, among other areas. It is also incorporating cutting-edge technologies linked to artificial intelligence,  cloud computing, advanced communications and virtual reality to enhance the capabilities of the world’s most  advanced armies. 

With the signing of this Agreement, Indra and Katim will work together on certifying mobile telephony solutions  at national and NATO Confidential level.  

They will therefore tailor their respective solutions to the specific needs of each client. Both companies will be  involved in controlling the entire supply chain to offer the end user complete reliability.  

Among other systems, Indra has COMSec, a secure communications solution that provides encrypted voice,  instant messaging and video services over cellphones via any cellular, wireless or satellite network in the  world, adapted for use in the administration of the State and army and other organizations and companies. As  for Katim, the company offers, among other products, an ultra-secure mobile terminal that employs a multi 

layered encryption model, delivering unparalleled protection and unmatched security features. Built with a  Secure by Design approach, Katim phones priorities security from the ground up, surpassing industry best  practices.  

This partnership will enable the two companies to offer their systems to different countries, agencies and  institutions, including NATO countries and, in particular, the Spanish Ministry of Defence.
