The Indian Army Arena Polo team showcased exceptional skill and determination, defeating the US Military team in a closely contested test match at the Lakeside Polo Club. The match ended with a score of 13-10 in favor of the Indian team, which included Lt Col Prithvi Singh, Lt Col Yatinder Kumar, Maj Mrityunjay Singh, and Lt Col RK Gautam.
Despite sustaining an injury during the second chukker, Maj Mrityunjay Singh continued to compete until the fourth chukker, demonstrating remarkable resilience before being substituted by Lt Col RK Gautam.
The Indian Army officers not only excelled on the field but also represented their organization with honor and sportsmanship, earning praise for their horsemanship from both US Military players and USPA officials. This match marks the first international engagement for the Indian Army team since 2019, and they have exceeded the high expectations set by their organization.
