Kuala Lumpur. 29 March 2022. Defence Services Asia and NATSEC Asia 2022 will showcase the latest in defence and security technologies, hardware, and solutions from all over the world.
But homegrown, unique Malaysian designs will also be putting up a strong representation at this highly anticipated defence, security and cyber security exhibition.
One of the booths that is expected to create a buzz is the one featuring Malaysian-made heavy utility, armoured and multi roles vehicles.
Located at Hall 4, Level 1 of the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, the Made In Malaysia Vehicle Gallery features vehicles from four participating companies – DRB Hicom Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd, Cendana Auto Sdn Bhd, Mildef International Technologies, and Weststar Defence Industries Sdn Bhd.
Among the advanced mobility solutions on display are fast utility vehicles that can be configured with a variety of pintle-mounted weapons, from light machine guns to recoilless rifles, to armoured scout vehicles for covert light troop insertions and extractions.
Another unique highlight of this edition of DSA and NATSEC Asia is the @MY Defence Security Innovation Pavilion.
This pavilion is to help promote innovative Malaysian defence and security products, acting as a conduit to nations that are looking for bespoke solutions that fit their national strategic and tactical needs.
This pavilion will highlight the competencies and capabilities of Malaysian companies while providing opportunities for these products to penetrate the global market. This pavilion is also located in Hall 4, Level 1.
Among the Malaysian companies here are the Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE), Ikramatic Systems Sdn Bhd, Mindmatics Sdn Bhd, Extro Code Sdn Bhd, Amax Precision Optic Sdn Bhd, and Aerodyne Group.
As a platform for driving economic growth, DSA and NATSEC Asia’s contributions cannot be overstated, with the setting up of the SME, and Business Matching Pavilions.
The SME Pavilion showcases small, and medium enterprises to help them market their products to the world. A total of 11 such companies are featured at this pavilion.
