Bangalore. 06 February 2021. The first of its kind Hybrid Aero India 2021 provided Maini Group an opportunity to highlight its strong focus on Make-in-India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Group was a part of the Karnataka Pavillion at the Yelhanka site and also participated in the Virtual Exhibition.
Maini Precision Products Ltd. (MPP), the flagship company is contributing significantly in the Make-in-India mission in Aerospace Manufacture, by supporting overseas aerospace leaders through end-to-end manufacturing offerings. Taking responsibility from the Purchase Order to the finished product delivery, it is a One Stop shop. Over the years it has created a robust industrial eco-system in India, as well as abroad, for covering the entire supply chain spectrum of raw materials procurement, manufacturing processes, special processes & heat treatments and final product delivery across the globe. It has rapidly moved up in the Technology Value Chain leveraging its own competencies and innovation, supplemented by Technology Transfer from overseas customers. It has supported HAL too for HAL’s Atmanirbharta Projects. This is a demonstration of leverage of international technology partnerships and deployment of the learnings for cross fertilization in the domestic arena.
The Aerospace Division of MPP began its contribution to aerospace manufacture in 2005, when it commenced to work for Safran Aircraft Engines (then SNECMA) as its first sub-tier amongst Indian private sector companies. It has been supporting major aerospace programs for global customers since then. MPP Aerospace has the distinction of being the first in the Private Sector to obtain the AS9100 certification. It now has acquired certification for the latest AS9100 Revision D. The aerospace infrastructure of MPP consists of more than 130 CNC machines, possessing 3 / 5 Axis capabilities, ranging from 0.5 to 3 meters, at the Company’s modern plant with 135,000 Sq. Ft floor area.
Maini Materials Movement Pvt. Ltd. (MMM) is another prominent constituent of the Maini Group. It is an MSME and has established pioneer position in indigenous Aviation Mobility with Electric platforms and electric Ground Handling Equipment for the airfield environment as a move towards Atmanirbharta. It has also developed an autonomous Buggy for a paradigm shift in electric in-campus mobility, in partnership with the renowned IT leader Infosys.
Like it has been in every Aero India, Maini Group facilitated the mobility of business professional, invited dignitaries and MOD functionaries by providing a large fleet of Electric Buggies. A proud moment for the Maini Group was when the Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind used the Maini Buggy for going around the Air Show on the Valediction Day.
The prime focus for participation in Aero India 2021 was to further understand potentials for the diverse capabilities of the Group Companies towards the renewed thrust of the Government in rapidly enhancing Atamnirbharta self-reliance in Defence. Meetings with domestic and overseas potential entities, as well as eco-system partners like Raw Material suppliers and protective process suppliers were rewarding.
