- Multi-year contract extension of agreement with Airbus for complete A220 Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) package

GKN Aerospace has today announced the extension of its agreement with Airbus for the continued manufacture of all electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) for the entire A220 aircraft. This multi-year contract extension reaffirms GKN Aerospace’s role as a key EWIS supplier to Airbus.
Having established itself as a long-term supplier to Airbus for EWIS on the A220, A320, and A320neo aircraft, GKN Aerospace’s extended agreement highlights the company’s expertise and reliability in delivering advanced electrical wiring solutions. The continued manufacturing of the A220 EWIS will be supported by existing GKN Aerospace teams based in the Netherlands, China and Turkey. In addition, the extension supports the establishment of GKN Aerospace EWIS production in Mexico ensuring seamless production and delivery and extending the GKN Aerospace global EWIS footprint.
