LAGOS, NIGERIA. 29 JUNE 2018. Continuing to expand its global Waukesha sales and services network to meet the growing demand for power at or near the point of use, GE’s Distributed Power business announced it has signed an agreement with HOERBIGER Service Middle East FZE to be an authorized distributor for GE’s Waukesha gas engine products in Nigeria.
The new agreement will enable both HOERBIGER and GE’s Distributed Power business to support an even wider range of oil and gas production projects throughout Nigeria, as GE’s Waukesha gas engines are ideally suited for a variety of on-site mechanical drive, gas compression and power generation applications.
“With our new distributor agreement for GE’s Waukesha gas engines, we will be able to greatly enhance the customer experience for professionals in Nigeria’s energy industry, ranging from oil and gas to industrial on-site power production,” said Yves Dubos, sales manager, Middle East and Africa of HOERBIGER Service Middle East FZE. “Our skilled team of Waukesha-certified gas engine technicians and mechanics ensure immediate, local customer support—both on-site and in shop—for Waukesha gas engines. We have already invested in local inventory for common parts in our warehouse in Port Harcourt.”

With millions of dollars in genuine product and parts inventory, HOERBIGER is well-positioned to work with Waukesha end users active in any power and mechanical drive application. As an authorized distributor for sales and service in Nigeria, HOERBIGER can improve a Waukesha end user’s operations with complete life cycle of engine coverage, including installation and startup, upgrades and overhauls with genuine parts and factory warranties.

We are very excited to have HOERBIGER represent the Waukesha product line in Nigeria and view this as a big step towards ensuring our customers get access to these solutions,” said Toyin Abegunde, regional commercial director, sub-Saharan Africa for GE’s Distributed Power business.
