National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Nagpur, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at revolutionizing the defence sector with cutting-edge technological innovations supported by IT and Electronics Systems. 

The MoU is anchored in the vision of supporting the AtmaNirbhar Bharat initiative by establishing a collaborative framework that enhances the defence sector’s capacity and capability. This partnership will conduct suitable training programs for defence personnel and stakeholders, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and spearhead joint research projects. The exchange of resources, including faculty, students, research findings, facilities, and infrastructure, will build a competitive ecosystem aimed at positioning India as a global manufacturing hub.

Representatives from both institutions including Dr. J.P. Dash, CGM NADP; Dr. A.S. Khan, GM NADP and Prof. O.G. Kakde, Director IIITN were present. 

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing the capabilities and self-reliance of India’s defence sector, leveraging the strengths and expertise of both NADP and IIIT Nagpur to achieve these goals.
