Srinagar, India. 05 July 2023. The helicopter services have been launched by Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) to connect Srinagar (Ex Budgam Helipad) with Pahalgam and Neelgrath. Further there is an option to connect Panchtarni.
The aim of the service is that the devotees can travel with ease directly from Srinagar to Panchtarni and complete the holy yatra in a single day. This is a perfect example of the last mile connectivity to the most revered Shrine of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims travelling by flight to Srinagar may easily board the helicopter to Amarnathji from Badgam Helipad which is in close vicinity to the Airport.
PHL is known for its pioneering efforts to develop the helicopter services in the religious shrines like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi , Shri Amarnath Ji , Shri Macchail mataji , Shri Kedarnathji etc. The services to Shri Amarnathji Yatra would be available till 30th August 2023. It is estimated that this time more than 300000 pilgrims will visit the Shrine.
