Bangalore. 23 June 2016. Esterline inaugurated India Design Center for Aviation recently. The brand new design center is an important piece of the strategy, and Esterline Segment President Roger Ross was on hand for the grand opening in Bangalore. This is in addition to Esterline’s existing presence in several other Indian cities, namely: Coimbatore, Kochi and Noida.
The Esterline India Design Center will be providing cutting-edge aviation engineering design services in areas such as product design, product enhancements, software, hardware design and mechanical and electronic engineering services to a variety of customers. In addition, the facility expects to provide these services for other Esterline operating units throughout the world, further supporting its expansion of capabilities centered in the region.
Ross expressed the importance of such a global design center in a centrally located and technologically strong developing market. He urged the design engineers there to embrace Esterline’s process- and quality-driven culture in their work, with a cornerstone focus on delivering excellent products and superior customer service. He also shared Esterline’s philosophy of employing “First Time Right” practices, which leads to fewer reviews with other Esterline teams and better optimizes the round-the-clock, global service team coverage facilitated by this expansion.
