• With remote classes, program lasts nine months and offers monthly scholarships

São José dos Campos , Brazil. 07 October 2024 .  Embraer is now accepting applications for the 2025 Specialization Program in Software and Data Science (PES). This postgraduate course offers remote classes and an initial aid of R$ 3,000, as well as monthly scholarships of R$ 5,000. The course is run in partnership with the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), lasts nine months and has a total of 30 vacancies.

“We have a robust and consistent strategic plan, strongly based on the development of new technologies and efficiency gains. Our optimism regarding the future of the business and the challenges posed by a highly competitive market lead to a growing internal demand for professionals who complete this specialization. Not surprisingly, the hiring rate of graduates by Embraer exceeds 95%,” says Andreza Alberto, Vice President of People, ESG, and Corporate Communications at Embraer.

“The PES provides a differentiated education where students learn how the concepts covered in class can be applied to solve real problems in the aerospace industry. This is thanks to a strong interaction with professors and Embraer employees”, says Professor Adriano Sarmento, the program coordinator for UFPE. “Aditionally, the curriculum and course content are evaluated and updated every year to meet the new demands arising from technological advancements in the field. The results of the program over the past three years have been exceptional, as evidenced by the graduates’ high employment rate.”

The 30 vacancies in PES will train 10 specialists in Data Science and 20 in Embedded Software. Eligible applicants for the selection process must have graduated in Exact Sciences between 2019 and 2024, preferably with advanced English skills. Registration is free and must be completed on the link www.embraer.com/pes by November 10.

Candidates will undergo an exam to demonstrate knowledge in Algorithms and Data Structures, Probability and Statistics and Mathematics for Computer Science, and participate in an interview. The results will be announced until the end of February, and classes will begin in March.

The course curriculum includes theoretical modules and a practical capstone project under the guidance of UFPE and Embraer professionals. Throughout the nine months, students will receive mentorship from company employees and participate in activities designed to develop soft skills, complementing their technical and academic training.
