New Delhi. 01 August, 2022. Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen, DG, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) took over additional charge of DG, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today. Sanjay Arora, IPS handed over the charge and customary baton to Dr Thaosen at Directorate General, ITBP in New Delhi.
Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen is an IPS Officer of the 1988 batch borne on Madhya Pradesh Cadre.
On his arrival to the Force Head Quarter, Dr Thaosen was welcomed by senior officers of ITBP. After the Guard of Honour, Senior officers at the Force Head Quarters were introduced to him.
Raised in 1962, the ITBP guards Indo-China borders. It is also deployed in various internal security duties including anti-naxal operations in Chhattisgarh.
