Moscow. 20 August 2022. On the sidelines of ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum, Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin held a meeting with his counterpart from the Arab Republic of Egypt, Major General Khaled Megawer.
As Alexander Fomin noted at the meeting, Russia is determined to continue active engagement in regional and global security and stability in Africa and the Middle East. He pointed to the proximity of the two countries’ approaches to key global and regional issues.
The meeting outlined promising areas of Russian-Egyptian cooperation, including joint combat training activities.
In turn, Major General Khaled Megawer noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations in the military sphere.
