• FTI solutions on display include the new MDAU-1394 high data rate module, a TmNS system, an airborne telemetry system, high-speed & HD cameras, data analysis, visualization, and post-test reporting software, and new Axon/ADAU data acquisition systems

International Telemetering Conference (ITC), Glendale, Arizona (Booth #317) – October 21, 2024 – Curtiss-Wright’s Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions Division, a leading supplier of flight test instrumentation (FTI) solutions engineered for success, will demonstrate its latest fully integrated FTI system solutions at the International Telemetering Conference (ITC), October 21-24, 2024. During the technical sessions of the conference, Curtiss-Wright subject matter experts will present several technical papers that cover a broad range of FTI topics.

“We are proud to lead the flight test instrumentation industry with the most comprehensive, reliable, and flexible solutions available, which provide our customers with a complete, proven, and future-proof system solution from a single trusted supplier,” said Brian Perry, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions Division. “We know that flight test programs are complex, with ever-increasing demands for more data. Our extensive range of highly capable hardware, combined with a fully integrated system approach and leading software solutions ensures that the entire FTI technology chain works together and mitigates the risk of costly delays and unplanned extra flights.”

Live In-Booth FTI Solution Demonstrations
At ITC, Curtiss-Wright’s booth will feature several live demonstrations of advanced FTI technologies, including:
  • TmNS Air to Ground System: This demo shows how TmNS transceivers work, focusing on message building, data-on-demand functions, and transceiver handoff.
  • MDAU-1394: A high data rate (HDR) module is used to demonstrate how to significantly reduce the complexity, module count, and cost for simultaneously capturing bulk digital avionics bus data and telemetering selected data during flight tests..
  • Re-packaged Miniature Airborne Telemeter System: This demo displays the capability of the miniature airborne telemetry system (MATS) that provides many functions, including PCM encoding, AES-256 encryption, and transmission, in a compact module stack.
  • NXDP-4000-1: This demo showcases the IADS® NXDP-4000, a SWaP-optimized solution for airborne data analysis and visualization.
  • High-Definition Video Camera: This camera setup features a high-quality video product capable of encoding at 1080p and 60 fps.
  • High-Speed Camera: A high-speed camera system, containing a camera manager, switch and a recorder, is used to demonstrate modern high-speed video capture.
  • Axon/ADAU Data Acquisition System: The latest modules and features of the Axon/ADAU data acquisition system are showcased, including the new miniature Axon Pico power over Ethernet (PoE) data acquisition unit (DAU).
  • IADS RT Station & Post-Test Explorer: This demo highlights IADS display, analysis, and post-test software suite capabilities, along with recently added new features.
