Will add leading supplier of U.S. Navy Ruggedized Shipboard Enclosures and Electronic Subsystems to existing portfolio of U.S. naval fleet products and services for DoD maritime customers
ASHBURN, Va. – November 26, 2019 – Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division announced today that it expects to significantly enhance its position in and commitment to the U.S. and international markets for ruggedized shipboard enclosures and electronic subsystems following Curtiss-Wright Corporation’s announced intention to acquire 901D Holdings, LLC. The acquisition is expected to close in December 2019, subject to the receipt of regulatory approval and other closing conditions. 901D is a leading designer and manufacturer of mission-critical integrated electronic systems, subsystems and ruggedized shipboard enclosure solutions supporting every major U.S. Navy platform. The addition of 901D’s product portfolio will greatly expand the breadth of the Defense Solutions division’s products and services, and will enable it to better serve its customers in the U.S. and worldwide.
“With the acquisition of 901D, Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division firmly establishes its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of MIL-SPEC Naval Shipboard ruggedized enclosure and electronic subsystems,” said Lynn Bamford, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Defense and Power. “Combined with our current mission-critical maritime solutions, this acquisition further expands our ability to provide shipboard solutions on all U.S. aircraft carriers, submarines, surface combatants, and amphibious ships.”
