Wimborne, UK. 17 December 2018. Chief Executive, David Lockwood welcomed Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson and Michael Tomlinson, Member of Parliament for Mid Dorset and North Poole at our Wimborne facility.

Employing around 1,000 people on the site, Wimborne has a rich history of supporting the UK’s Ministry of Defence and the visitors were shown a number of key projects for the Royal Air Force and global export customers, including our world leading aerial refuelling technologies.

The Secretary of State also had an opportunity to meet a number of Wimborne-based Cobham apprentices and graduate trainees, with a lively discussion on defence industry matters and the importance of STEM (science, technology engineering and maths) at schools and colleges.
