New Delhi. 01 May 2020. Chief of Defence Staff and the three service Chiefs appreciated the role and thanked the defence forces of the nation for combating COVID-19.
CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat said, “entire world is fighting the menace of covid and like everybody else our nation has impacted. We express our gratitude to all Corona warriors. On behalf of armed forces, we want to thank all COVID-19 warriors. Doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, police, home guards, delivery boys & media which has been reaching out with the message of government on how to carry on with lives in difficult times.”
He also informed that there are some special activities that nation will get to witness. Air Force to conduct flypast from Srinagar to Trivandrum & another one starting from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kutch in Gujarat. It’ll include both transport & fighter aircraft.
Meanwhile, the Navy will display its gratitude by lighting up ships stationed along India’s shoreline, General Rawat added.
