• Exhibit will highlight the H-47 Chinook, MH-139 Grey Wolf, ScanEagle, and Wave Glider.

HANOI, Vietnam, Dec. 10, 2024 — Boeing [NYSE: BA] will participate in the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024 to showcase the company’s industry-leading defence platforms and capabilities.

“Boeing’s presence at the Vietnam International Defence Expo is an exciting step forward in our growing partnership with the government,” said Michael Nguyen, managing director for Boeing Vietnam. “For the first time in Vietnam, Boeing will be displaying a wide range of leading defence and security capabilities that can also provide humanitarian assistance during times of trouble.”

Boeing’s exhibit will feature:

  • The H-47 Chinook is the heavy-lift helicopter of choice for the U.S. Army and 20 international operators. It is an advanced, multi-mission, tandem rotor helicopter, proven in cargo and troop transport, search and rescue, casualty evacuation, special operations, humanitarian and disaster relief, and more.
  • The MH-139 Grey Wolf is a multi-mission helicopter capable of a wide variety of missions to include patrol, search and rescue, VIP and troop and cargo transport. Based off the proven Leonardo Helicopters AW139 and fitted with custom military equipment by Boeing, the MH-139 incorporates advanced state-of-the-art technology that allows operators to complete missions safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • The ScanEagle is a long endurance unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed and manufactured by Insitu Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. This innovative platform has transformed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services for tactical UAS in both defense and commercial applications. The Vietnamese Coast Guard currently operates six ScanEagles.
  • The Wave Glider is a long-duration and highly durable uncrewed surface vehicle that can host or tow a range of sensors, giving customers access to real-time maritime data. Designed and manufactured by Liquid Robotics, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, the Wave Glider is the world’s most proven autonomous surface vehicle.
