• Controp Showcases Next-Generation EO/IR Systems and Expands its Integrated
    Defense Portfolio at IDEX 2025

Hod Hasharon, Feb. 13, 2025—Controp, a leading provider of advanced electro-optical and
infrared (EO/IR) solutions, is unveiling a range of innovative systems at IDEX. These systems highlight the company’s strategic shift from specialized payloads to comprehensive defense solutions. Building on decades of innovation, Controp’s “Defining Clarity” approach emphasizes new capabilities in integrated EO/IR systems, AI-driven analytics, and global market expansion.

Expanding from Payloads to Integrated Solutions

Originally known for its high-performance stabilized sensor payloads, Controp has expanded its offerings to provide comprehensive operational solutions. These solutions combine advanced sensors, onboard processing, and machine learning to enhance situational awareness for air defense, counter-UAS, maritime, and land surveillance missions.
“At IDEX, we are showcasing how our expanded portfolio addresses the complex demands of modern battlefields,” explains Hagay Azani, President and CEO of Controp. “From lightweight micro-gimbals for UAVs and loitering munitions to long-range surveillance and advanced detection systems, our new offerings demonstrate the shift from standalone sensor payloads to scalable, integrated defense ecosystems.”

Showcasing the SPEED Series and STAMP XED

Visitors at IDEX can explore Controp’s flagship SPEED series of EO/IR surveillance systems, recognized globally for long-range observation and high-precision stabilization. The SPEED ER—continuously updated since its initial release—offers extended-range surveillance, while the SPEED MR delivers similar capabilities in a more compact form factor. Both systems have demonstrated their performance over a decade, operating in harsh desert conditions and high elevations across the Middle East and Central Asia. In parallel, the STAMP family of miniature UAV payloads showcases the new STAMP XED, which meets the demand for extended-range optics and advanced target tracking in Group 2 UAVs. Addressing the need for high-performance miniaturized EO/IR systems, Controp’s subsidiary Microcon Vision will unveil its latest micro payloads for loitering munitions and drones.

AI at the Sensor Level

Controp’s embedded Smart Vision analytics suite highlights the company’s emphasis on integrating AI-driven processing close to the sensor. This architecture maintains data fidelity, allowing for quick detection, tracking, and classification of potential threats. By minimizing reliance on centralized processing, operators experience faster decision cycles and reduced latency in mission-critical situations.

Global Expansion and Local Partnerships

With more than 500 employees and a global network of subsidiaries—including Controp-USA and ControPARAS in India—and established operations in the UAE and other locations worldwide, Controp’s international footprint continues to grow. These entities support local production, technology transfers, and rapid-response services to strategic markets. “Our establishment of joint ventures and representative offices guarantees that our advanced EO/IR technologies are always accessible to customers,” says Doron Zalts, VP of International Marketing & Business Development. “It also demonstrates our commitment to equipping  regional partners with the technical knowledge and manufacturing capabilities they require for long-term self-sufficiency.”
