Hyderabad. 13 March 2020. Arrow Aircraft, a Delhi-based non-scheduled operator has received its first H125 Airbus helicopter. The aircraft taken on lease from Heliswiss Iberica will soon start operations in the high altitude areas of north India for heli-pilgrimage (passenger transport) missions.
“Arrow Aircraft is pleased to take delivery of its first H125 helicopter. We selected the H125, as it is the most versatile and cost effective helicopter in its category. With several multirole configurations, we are confident that the helicopter will truly be an advantage for us to continue developing our aerial missions. We look forward to a long term relationship with Airbus and Heliswiss Iberica,” said Shailendra Singh, CEO, Arrow Aircraft.
The H125 is a common site at the pilgrimage areas in India. It is also being used to develop new helicopter market segments in the country, mainly geophysical surveys, power grid maintenance and emergency medical services, among others. The optimised cabin of the H125 features a flat floor that can be easily and quickly reconfigured for various mission types.
“Heliswiss Iberica is proud to support Arrow Aircraft in their new project. Collaborating with such a well-established operator in India gives us more presence in one of our key markets, where we expect to keep growing during the following years. Whatever be the mission, the H125 is a multi-role aircraft easy to adapt to our customer’s needs,” said Marc Bisbal, Sales & Leasing Manager at Heliswiss Iberica, S.A.
“Airbus has a range of helicopters designed to meet and exceed each mission requirement. With the selection of the H125, Arrow Aviation will benefit from the capabilities of a helicopter that has become a benchmark in its category. It is recognised for its excellent performance in the most extreme weather and geographical conditions with low operating costs,” said Ashish Saraf, Head of Airbus Helicopters, Airbus India & South Asia.
The H125 (previously named the AS350 B3e) is known for its power, versatility and excellent performance in hot and high conditions. It features dual hydraulics, dual channel engine FADEC, a crash resistant fuel system, and advanced glass-panel cockpit displays. The H125 is a member of Airbus’ rugged and proven Ecureuil family (AS350, AS355, AS550, AS555, H125, H125M, EC130, H130), which has accumulated more than 33 million flight hours worldwide. Some 6,500 helicopters have been delivered in nearly 120 countries for more than 1,900 operators. The H125 is the undisputed leader in its class for the past 30 years.
