New Delhi, 26 Feb 2018. On behalf of South Western Comd, Chetak Corps conducted a biennial disaster relief exercise in aid to civil administration in an eventuality of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) disaster in the region. Excerise involved discussions, lecture cum demonstrations of the drills and procedures and a simulated mock Exercise in CBRN backdrop involving mobilization of earmarked Quick Reaction teams of Chetak Corps.
The exercise clearly brought out the importance of synergy between civil administration, NDRF, Army and other agencies to respond timely to manage the complexity of CBRN related disasters. It was attended by representatives of Army Headquarters, Commands, Civil administration, NDRF and the learning value was well appreciated by all.
