- Trial & approval will result into award of full contract
New Delhi. 09 November 2020. OshoCorp Global informed that it is selected by Indian Army to develop four Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) , two each for T-90 and T-72 tanks, under Make II guidelines of Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
Ashutosh Khate, CEO explained that , “initially we are required to develop quantity 4 Nos APU’s (2 each for T-90 and T-72 Tanks) for trial & approval and subsequesntly produce Quantity 3257 Nos APU’s.”
Col PK Juneja, Head Special Projects at OshoCorp explained, the present project cost is more than INR 1325 Crore (USD 190 Million) and it has huge potential to generate future domestic & export business which can be many times more than the current procurement of APU’s as it is a continuous requirement keeping in mind the present inventory of T-72, T-90, Arjun Tank and BMPs held by our armed forces and expected new tank supplies in coming years. In the export market, the countries using Russian T-72, T-90 Tanks can be benefited by procurring India’s development of Auxiliary Power Unit for tanks.
