Moscow. 20 August 2022. ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum opens to the public. Major General Alexander Osadchuk, Head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defence, began with this news at a briefing for journalists at Joint Press Centre of International Army Games 2022.
Delegations from the defence ministries of 85 foreign countries continued to work on the sidelines of the Forum on August 18. Three bilateral meetings were held between Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, and the heads of delegations of Iraq, Libya and the United Arab Emirates.
He noted that specialists from foreign countries were interested in exhibitions of the state corporations Rostec, Roskosmos, as well as concerns Kalashnikov, High-Precision Complexes, Rosoboronexport and Uralvagonzavod.
Speaking about the forum’s attendance, General Osadchuk noted that over 102,000 people visited its venues yesterday, an increase of 14.5 per cent over last year’s attendance (87,521). A growing total of more than 331,000 people visited the Forum in four days.
The Forum’s scientific-business programme has included 69 events, and 217 since the start of the forum.
Head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defence spoke in more detail about the results of the Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Strategic Leadership congress.
During the congress, 22 events were held with more than 2,500 participants, including 286 speakers, 97 doctors of sciences, 415 candidates of sciences, and representatives from 6 countries.
The shooting club of the High-precision Systems Research and Production Association has been very popular with experts since the first days of the forum, with a demonstration of the capabilities of the small arms developed by Tula gunsmiths.
Today, on the first day of the mass visit, a wide range of guests is expected at the exhibition pavilions of leading industrial companies such as: state corporation Rostec, UAC (United Aircraft Corporation), concerns Almaz-Antey, Concern Kalashnikov, TRAC (Tactical Rocket Arms Corporation); USC (United Shipbuilding Corporation). Here visitors can see unique, interesting exhibits.
He also briefed journalists on the activities of the scientific-business programme on the 5th day of the forum.
Today there will be 68 events on the scientific-business programme, including 25 round tables, 39 briefings and 4 conferences.
Concluding his speech at the briefing, Major-General Alexander Osadchuk stressed that today the large-scale events of the ARMY 2022 Forum are starting simultaneously in several dozens of Russian regions on the territory of military districts and the Northern Fleet.
