- Russian Air Force & Air Defence Russian Army roar in Khabarovsk skies
Moscow. 29 August 2021. On the first day of the International Military-Technical Forum (IMTF) in Khabarovsk, the pilots of the Air Force and Air Defence Army of the Eastern Military District demonstrated their skills.
The main site of the Forum has traditionally been opened in Khabarovsk at the Tsentralny airfield. More than 100 samples of static exposition equipment, forum visitors will be shown the capabilities of about 30 samples of military equipment of the Ministry of Defence, Rosgvardia and the EMERCOM.
Engineers of the Eastern Military District will present static and dynamic displays of advanced engineering weapons for the guests of the military-technical forum at the Central airfield in Khabarovsk.
Tank crews of the training centre of the Eastern Military District will perform a tank waltz. Figured driving of four tanks will be held as part of a dynamic demonstration of the capabilities of samples of military equipment.
Loading display of the Iskander tactical missile system has been planned. Within the framework of the scientific and business program, a number of events are planned for the use of robotic systems and artificial intelligence, as well as the demonstration of inventions and developments in the field of strengthening and increasing the defence capability of the state at the Kulibin and Breakthrough Technology sites.
For the first time, the Forum sites have been deployed in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and in the Magadan Region; residents of such remote areas of our region as Pevek and Cape Schmidt village in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug were able to become participants and guests of IMTF ARMY 2021. The static demonstration sites will feature over 600 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including about 20 aircraft and helicopters, about 8 ships and submarines.
The crews performed a paired aerobatics program consisting of Su-35S fighters and Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters. The first in the skies over the Khabarovsk-Tsentralny airfield were a pair of Ka-52 helicopters of the military aviation unit of the Eastern MD.The program was planned for 10 minutes of flight time.

In the Khabarovsk Territory, in particular, sites were deployed in Khabarovsk, Bikin, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the villages of Khurba and Knyaze-Volkonskoye.
On the main site of the forum at the Tsentralny airfield, demonstration sites for the construction of a section of the Baikal-Amur Mainline were deployed, special processing of a site of terrain and equipment by RCB protection units, a place for displaying accommodation, food, bath services, uniforms and equipment for military personnel . An exposition of a complex of mobile laboratory, diagnostic and resuscitation equipment has been deployed.
On the site “Kulibin” are shown the developments of military personnel of the Air Defense Forces, defense industry enterprises, universities of the Khabarovsk Territory. A platform for DOSAAF activities and physical training was organized.
For the first time, platforms were deployed to demonstrate EW and OTRK Iskander equipment, repair units, in particular, the disassembly and assembly of the D-30A howitzer, the disassembly and assembly of a UAZ vehicle, a platform for demonstrating the capabilities of the NBC protection troops in emergency response using mobile diagnostic teams.
The audience saw the “tank waltz on the T-80”, “mazurka on the BMP-2”. On the site of the engineering troops, practical actions of IMR-3, actions of the rescue and evacuation service, the deployment of temporary roads, and water purification stations are shown.
Military signalmen deployed a field communications center as part of complex hardware, radio relay stations. Artistic groups performed at the airport. These are ensembles from the Eastern Military District, the Russian Guard, the FSB of Russia. The military history museum of the VVO worked.
Eastern MD has deployed on the territory of 11 subjects of the Far East about 70 exhibition sites in 37 cities and towns, which is 25 sites more than a year earlier.
