Liverpool, UK. 11 October 2021. The 25th AOC Europe event will bring together world-leading experts from the military, government, academia and industry in Liverpool on 12-13 October, 2021. Delegates will progress their understanding of the issues, technology and capabilities that underpin national electronic warfare abilities and allow them to enhance their capabilities both nationally and in collaborative defence.
Built around a core theme of ‘Multi-Domain Operations for Electronic Spectrum Dominance’, this year’s agenda features speakers working at the cutting edge of technology and research, and top decision makers in national capability development. Attendees will progress their understanding of the issues, technology and capabilities that underpin their national EW abilities and allow them to enhance these capabilities both nationally and in international collaborative defence.
Conference chairman Philip Sturley will give the opening remarks on day one, followed by a welcome from Powder Carlson, President of the AOC; Dr Sue Robertson, AOC International Region Director; and Chris Howe, UK Chapter President. Day one will then consist of presentations on topics including ‘Paradigm shifts in EW capability development’, what EWSI will look like in the next decade, a view of Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations at U.S. European Command, and ‘the Need for SEAD’. The afternoon will consist of presentations from representatives of organisations operating at the cutting edge of EW capability development.
Day two of the conference will include sessions on platform protection and future threats with topics ranging from new tactics and technologies to developments in the UK and NATO forces.
Dr Sue Robertson, AOC International Region 1 Director, said: “At AOC Europe we will consider new and current threat systems and strategies for shoring up and maintaining our collective spectrum dominance in the coming decades, alongside the technological developments most likely to influence the complex electromagnetic warfare of the future.
“It has been a long time since our community has been able to meet in person, and I look forward to welcoming friends, colleagues and new connections to Liverpool in October to share ideas and plan ahead for the future of EW operations.”
